About the Straupe Horse Post complex

Straupe Horse Post is a unique cultural and historical complex of buildings that preserves evidence of the time when Straupe was a significant stop on the horse mail route. The historical architecture and the feeling of the ancient road give this place a special atmosphere. Today, Straupe Horse Post is the venue where Straupe markets take place on the 1st and 3rd Sunday of every month. It is a place where Latvian history naturally connects with rural flavors, craftsmanship, and community life.
