October is the time for the international action #GoodFoodGoodFarming. This month, a wide range of events are taking place across Europe to raise awareness of small, clean food producers, while also calling the European Union to give them more support. The owners of small farms are interested in maintaining biodiversity by growing low-productivity and economically unviable varieties. Therefore, it is up to small producers to preserve ancient varieties and nurture national traditions.
In the 17th October in the market of Slow Food Straupe, we will also remind you of the richness of nature, colors and diversity that hide in the barns and cellars of small producers.
Let’s meet at the Straupe market to taste, get to know and find out!
#GFGF takes place every year around the world, thanks to support from EU funds.
